Clarets back in for McDonald

Burnley had a £400,000 offer for the 19-year-old midfielder turned down by Dundee at the end of May but at the time the Scottish Division One club admitted that he would have to be sold if they received an acceptable fee.

He has continued to interest Clarets' boss Owen Coyle and this morning the suggestion is that the Clarets are set to up their offer although it appears there will be competition.

A number of Scottish clubs are interested in him as are our Championship rivals Plymouth but reports suggest Owen Coyle is determined to bring him to Turf Moor.
