Claret in Team of the Week

Paul Cook received the Man of the Match vote from the sponsors last week but voting on Clarets Mad gave it to Graham Branch with Driss Diallo in second place.

But once again the Team of the Week has ignored our best players on the day but have placed Glen Little in the side. Glen had a good game but it is somewhat surprising to see him get in ahead of those players mentioned above.

He wasn't the only player from the game to win a place in the side though, he is joined by three Ipswich players in Fabian Wilnis, Jim Magilton and Marcus Bent.

The Football League said of Glen's inclusion,

"Burnley's battle to reach the play-offs can only be helped by having Glen Little on the books. A consistent performer, midfielder Little is skilled, composed and has a box-to-box style that Ipswich Town had difficulty dealing with at Turf Moor. Failure to reach the play-offs could see Little attract the cheque-books of a host of Premiership clubs."

The full team selected was,

Lee Grant (Derby), Zigor Aranalde (Walsall), Lee Naylor (Wolves), Fabian Wilnis (Ipswich), Danny Cullip (Brighton), Paul Ifill (Millwall), Jim Magilton (Ipswich), Damien Francis (Franchise), Glen Little (Burnley), Steve Claridge (Millwall), Marcus Bent (Ipswich).
