Claret in Team of the Week

Back in the side for the first time in seven weeks and despite being responsible for the crucial first goal David May has been selected for the team this week. It was a decent enough performance from Maysey, he received my vote in the Man of the Match poll, but it was something of a surprise to see him win a place in the divisional team.

He wasn’t the only player from the match to win a place either, he has been joined by Derby’s keeper Lee Grant who made some outstanding saves, central defender Michael Johnson, and their former Port Vale and Aston Villa midfielder who was for me the best player on the pitch.
