Cisak signed for York on a month's loan on Friday 24th October and made his home debut on the following day in a 1-1 home draw against Mansfield at Bootham Crescent and then kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Cheltenham.

Although not permitted to play in the FA Cup, he made an immediate return to the league side and has appeared twice more, in a 1-0 home defeat against Oxford and then, last Saturday, in the crucial bottom of the league clash at Hartlepool which they won 3-1 having fallen behind.

York boss Russ Wilcox, assistant manager at Burnley under Brian Laws, was keen to keep Cisak for longer and this morning came the confirmation that he'll be there through the Christmas and New Year period during which York will play another six league games.

York are currently 20th in League Two but are six points clear of the bottom two Tranmere and Hartlepool.
