Chester added to pre-season programme

It is likely, given that the squad will be returning from Austria on the previous day, that this will be a development squad game although that has not been confirmed.

It's some time since we last visited Chester for a competitive game. Our last league game there, the first ever league game to be played at the then named Deva Stadium, ended in a 3-0 defeat in September 1992 when, in fairness, we were fortunate to come away with that scoreline.

Just over two years later we were there for an FA Cup 2nd round tie in December 1994. This time we won 2-1 with a David Eyres penalty and an Adrian Heath winner in what was the first Burnley game to be screened live by Sky.

Kick off time for this game has not been confirmed but the fixture has now been added, along with the other pre-season games, to the Friendlies/Key Dates page.
