Chelsea move closer to double

Last updated : 15 April 2010 By Tony Scholes

Chelsea's lead is now four points over second place United and with just four games remaining it would be a big surprise now if the title didn't return to Stamford Bridge for the first time in four years.

Chelsea HANDLED Bolton well on Tuesday and when Arsenal faltered last night at, of all places, White Hart Lane it surely ruled them out. That result has ensured Spurs remain in the fight for the fourth Champions League place. Rafael Benitez promised Liverpool fans earlier in the season they would get that place, but it's a broken promise and it is surely now between Manchester City and Spurs.

Down at the bottom, Portsmouth have finally been relegated. This nonsense of a club should have been shown the door long ago but as things get worse for them beyond this season the Premier League will finally be able to ignore them. Who goes down with them? It's looking like us and Hull but things could still change. I'd love it to be Bolton.

Last night's game at the Concrete Jungle between Wigan and Portsmouth created a 2009/10 record, the smallest attendance this season in the Premier League, just 14,323.

The stats, the goalscorers, each club's disciplinary record and the next fixtures are all shown below.
