All this was obviously arranged whilst Chappy was training with the Magpies. That’s another strange one because the only chance that he trained with them is if they moved their training headquarters to Gawthorpe.
Quite simply there has been no contact with Newcastle and Richard Chaplow will not be signing for them. Neither will he be moving to Ewood Park despite the latest ridiculous rumours.
Chappy will be starting next season with the Clarets and I suspect that he’ll also end next season with the Clarets.
The only chance of a move to Newcastle will come if we draw them away in the FA Cup.
