Chaplow not for sale

One of the Sunday tabloids linked Chappy with a loan move to Stoke and yesterday an article in the north west incredibly jumped on the story and was suggesting a potential return to Turf Moor.

That's all been rubbished by Baggies' assistant boss Mark Venus who says they are not ready to listen to offers for Chaplow who has played more for West Brom since Venus and Mowbray arrived at the club.

Venus admits that every player has his price but has said: "Richard is part of the squad like everyone else. Whether he's open to offers is down to the manager. But who isn't open to offers? Diomansy Kamara was open to offers, so was Jason Koumas. That's football.

"But I can say Richard is not on the transfer list and isn't being touted around as available. He certainly hasn't been put around as if we're open to offers."

Chaplow has featured in four of West Brom's league games this season, he's started two including their opening day 2-1 defeat against the Clarets on the Turf and he's added two substitute appearances to that.
