Chairman changes club and goes to Derby

What is rare though is a director leaving one club and joining another and that is probably due to the fact that most directors actually do support the club they are involved with.

Earlier this week football celebrated the departure of Mr. Pompous Geoffrey Richmond from Bradford City and that followed the departure of his partner in crime Bryan Richardson from the chair at Coventry last January.

Both Richmond and Richardson took away with them a Tw*t of the Week award last season Richardson is back for more. Today he returned to the First Division when he joined the Board of Directors at Derby County.

The Derby chairman Lionel Pickering was happy enough with the appointment and said earlier today, "Bryan will be a great asset to the club with his many years of experience in the professional game and I look forward to working with him to achieve a speedy return to the Premiership."

Apparently the new director will work closely alongside manager John Gregory and Chief Executive Keith Loring.

So just when you thought it was safe to go out one of the Phoenix League men has risen from the ashes.
