Clarke Carlisle
Clarke was on the bench for the opening game but replaced the injured Michael Duff on the half hour. His form since has suggested he'll take some displacing and this, his first full game at this level since he was man of the match at Wembley, was another outstanding performance from him.

In the man of the match vote he came top with 33.4% of the vote and that was a good lead over Wade Elliott who claimed 23.0% and third place. Andre Bikey, who was the star of the show in the opener against Nottingham Forest, was third with 16.9% of the vote.

The two central defenders were also in the top three on the message board's player ratings. Again Carlisle was the winner with a rating of 8.09 out of 10 whilst Bikey wasn't far behind, his rating was 8.00. One of the new summer recruits, Dean Marney came third with a rating of 7.27 out of 10.

Those results give Carlisle six points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year.

Bikey retains the lead in the table with three points for this game while there are two points for Elliott and there is one point for Marney.
