Clarke Carlisle
He was nominated as man of the match on the day and Clarets Mad have hardly disagreed with that. He has won his first man of the match of the season and by some distance. He polled 41.5% of the vote and that meant he was some distance in front of second place Chris McCann who had 20.7% of the vote.

The last point awarded in the vote went to Joey Gudjonsson who added to his performance with probably the goal of the season so far and he polled 19.3% of the vote to take third place.

It was the same top two in the player ratings. Carlisle was again well in front with a rating of 8.94. It was not only his highest rating of the season but the highest by any player, beating Martin Paterson's 8.69 rating in the win over Blackpool two weeks earlier.

McCann again came in second place with a rating of 8.40 whilst Carlisle's fellow defender Steven Caldwell took third place with a rating of 8.15 out of 10.

That means Carlisle wins the maximum six points, McCann gets four to take him ever closer to Player of the Season leader Martin Paterson, and there's a point apiece for Gudjonsson and Caldwell.
