Brian Laws has already done some business since taking over at Burnley. He's signed four new players in Frédéric Nimani, Nicky Weaver, Leon Cort and Danny Fox and has confirmed he's trying to add two more new faces to the squad.

He's said he wants to bring in a midfielder and a striker with David Nugent his first choice for the forward position. The media are suggesting that should we not be able to complete the Nugent deal, and things were looking positive yesterday, then the target could be Derby's Rob Hulse who scored the winner in the 'Brian Clough Trophy' game against Forest on Saturday.

The only midfielder really mentioned in the tabloids is young Chelsea player Jack Cork. He's still waiting for his first taste of Premier League action but has gained a lot of experience with over a hundred Football League games during loans to various clubs. Burnley could be his next loan destination.

Yesterdays' Sundays were suggesting that Robbie Blake and Steven Thompson could be on the way out. One player already gone is Brian Easton, who has gone to his old club Hamilton on loan, and there could be one or two more.

It's going to be an interesting day.
