We had no problems with either. We were able to include both Luke O'Neill (currently on loan at Scunthorpe) and Sam Vokes (injured) in a list of just 24 which included 19 players who qualify as home grown players.
To qualify a player, irrespective of his nationality, must have been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).
I've not quite worked it out but Danny Ings is not considered home grown, presumably because he hasn't spent three consecutive years with any one club before he was 21, but strangely Kevin Long is considered home grown even though he was 19 when he signed for Burnley.
