Burnley set to sign new goalkeeper

The 25 year old Londoner has moved around somewhat this season after kicking off back in August in the Nationwide Conference with Stevenage Borough before returning to his first club Luton Town in October for a month.

A non-contract spell with Macclesfield followed before he joined Joe Royle and Ipswich Town just before Christmas on a short term one month contract that is coming to an end.

He hasn’t played in the first team for any of these three league clubs, his last game at first team level was in Stevenage’s 1-0 Conference defeat at Exeter in early September.

The bulk of his matches though were with his first two clubs Luton Town and Chesterfield and he played behind the likes of Mitchell Thomas and Steve Davis at Kenilworth Road when he first broke into the side.

He moved on to Chesterfield in the summer of 2001 and was a regular in their side throughout the 2001/02 season but was released at the end of that season before signing for Northampton Town where he was used mainly as cover during last season.

And that took him to Stevenage in his search for a new club which now sees him set to land at Turf Moor.

There has been no confirmation as yet from Turf Moor although sources close to the club suggest that the signing is imminent.
