Burnley looking for some Sun

Kevin Keegan took him to Maine Road in February 2002, paying Dalian Wanda for his services and the now 30-year-old defender has gone on to make 150 appearances for City after making his debut in February 2002 against Coventry when he came on as a sub for Stuart Pearce.

His City career looked blighted in the 2004/05 season when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury but after fighting back in the following season he was rewarded with a further two year extension by Stuart Pearce.

Sun is a versatile player and as well as playing in the centre of defence can play in midfield or in either full back position. He's also very experienced at international level having played on 66 occasions for China.

He'd previously played in England for Crystal Palace during the 1998/99 season and now apparently Owen Coyle has set his sights on making Burnley his third English club. The player is said to be keen on staying in the north west of England and to have had preliminary talks with the Clarets.
