Brian Laws - linked ith Charlton's Lloyd Sam
The 25-year-old, Leeds born, Sam has been with Charlton Athletic since the start of his career as a youth player, but he made his league debut in January 2004 during a loan spell at Leyton Orient.

His Charlton debut came in the following season when he played in a 2-2 draw against rivals Crystal Palace in the Premier League but he never fully established himself in the team whilst in the top flight.

In 2006/07 season he had two loan spells. He played four games during a month's loan at the beginning of the season with Sheffield Wednesday and later in the season played in that horrible game at Southend that we lost 1-0, a game that left me believing we would be relegated.

He's played regularly for Charlton in recent seasons and has now featured in over 130 games for them. He came close to a move to Newcastle in January but remained at the Valley.

However, following their failure to win promotion it looks as though he will be on the move with Burnley now reported to have joined Leicester, QPR and Sheffield United in trying to sign him.
