Joey Gudjonsson - the charges followed the incident after he had been sent off
This charge came about following our home game against Preston back in December and specifically the incident that saw Joey Gudjonsson sent off by referee Lee Mason, the second dismissal of the afternoon.

Mason had a complete and utter nightmare that afternoon. He started it by clearly seeing and choosing to ignore a handball on the line and deteriorated from that point onwards. There could be no complaint over Chris McCann's dismissal, although had Mason done his job properly the incident would not have occurred.

But it was the Gudjonsson dismissal that sparked off the scenes that led to us being in front of the FA. Mason sent him off for stamping, and that is open to much debate. That red card led to two of our subs Brian Jensen and Ade Akinbiyi leaving the bench and coming on to the pitch, Jensen clearly remonstrating with Preston players.

For that we were charged under FA Rule E20 (a) - failure to ensure players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

We admitted the charge and the decision was to fine us £10,000 and warn us as to our future conduct. Now we'll see what happens when we face the exact same charge which came following Alan Wiley's decision to send off Kyle Lafferty in the FA Cup tie against Arsenal.
