Burnley Football Club were not involved in price increase

This was information we had received officially from Cheltenham Town Football Club both by telephone and via their official web site. At the time we said that our club must have agreed to it, after all price changes can only be made for FA Cup ties after agreement between both clubs. That was the case with the Canvey Island match. The announcement of ticket prices on that occasion was delayed because of disagreements and eventually were announced almost a week after the draw.

What we didn't expect would happen was that Cheltenham would try and increase their ticket prices without even getting agreement with the Clarets. It really does take some believing but it is a fact. Burnley did not agree to the price increase and have now at least got a £1 reduction on the prices Cheltenham first announced.

Well done Burnley Football Club, although we will have to pay £2 more than the Oldham fans did we appreciate that you have done all you could to keep the prices as low as possible for the travelling Clarets fans.

The details of the sale of tickets is still not confirmed but we will publish them in our Ticket Details section as soon as they are available.
