Today's FA Cup 3rd round draw sees the Clarets on the road again for the sixth time in seven ties with a visit to the Franchise at Milton Keynes.
Graham Branch - scored when the teams last met
Since the 5th round tie against Blackburn five seasons ago our only home draw has been the tie against Arsenal in 2007/08 and now another away tie.
Our hosts are currently in sixth place in League One and have won through to this round having already beaten Macclesfield and Exeter in this season's competition.
We were the first club ever to play them in a competitive fixture in Milton Keynes back in 2003 and will now become the first ever Premier League club to play them there in a competitive fixture. Not only that we are the first top flight club ever to play them in the FA Cup since their formation in 2002.
We've previously played four league games against them, in the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons, winning two, drawing one and losing one. The last of those was the 2-0 win at the Turf in April 2004 with a goal from Graham Branch and an own goal from Harry Ntimban-Zeh.
The game will be played on either Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd January. The full draw is shown below.
