"I thought it was a great response and I am very pleased about it," Dave said earlier this week. "The gate was improved and as for the new anthem, we’re still trying it out and will make a few adjustments to that.
"It is all part of our long term strategy to both increase the gates and improve the atmosphere."
There’s no doubt that the attendance was higher and the campaign did work although there was some criticism of the new anthem. "It wasn’t selected at random," Dave told Clarets Mad this morning. "It is all about walking that extra mile for Burnley Football Club."
Let us all hope that the campaign can again bring about a higher attendance at the Turf tonight, let us all hope we can get a good atmosphere inside the ground and let us all hope we can come away with a much needed victory.
I might not be walking 500 miles to Turf Moor tonight but I will be taking in a two mile work to get to the match. We all need to do our bit to get the club moving again in the right direction so if you can get to the Turf and give the lads your support tonight then please do. Please walk that extra mile for Burnley FC.
