Burnley fans back in cricket field stand

It's been a bone of contention with home fans for some time and not just the fans either, both Stan Ternent and Steve Cotterill spoke out against there being away fans right behind the goal where the dressing rooms were and where the players came out.

But now in the Premier League, Owen Coyle has said he wants home fans on all four sides and with season ticket sales for the other stands having gone well, the cricket field stand will be split with 1,500 home seats available for next season.

Those tickets will be available as season tickets and postal applications are invited until 9:00 a.m. on Monday 6th July after which the ticket office will reopen at 9:15 a.m. next Monday to accept personal applications. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Transfers will be accepted but new applications will receive priority. Any such requests should be made by post and clearly marked Seat Transfer.

Please note that these tickets might not be available for some cup games.

Coyle said: "I have pressed long and hard for the club to release 1,500 more season tickets to ensure that the stand is not taken up by 4,000 away supporters, and I am absolutely delighted with this news.

"Last season the Clarets' supporters were truly our 12sup>th man at Turf Moor and their backing helped us to reach the Barclays Premier League. I am sure the extra tickets, plus the 15,000 we have already sold can only help us to stay there."

Prices for the cricket field stand are:

£359 Adults
£199 Concessions
£75 Aged 16-18
£75 Under-16s with an adult
