Burnley dismiss Coyle rumours

Yesterday Barry Kilby said he felt OUR manager Owen Coyle would still be at Burnley next season and that was repeated today by Brendan Flood. However, the speculation won't go away with some suggesting Coyle is on his way to Glasgow.

That speculation is such that Burnley Football Club have released a statement which reads:

"Contrary to widespread speculation, Burnley Football Club has not received any official approach from Celtic for the services of manager Owen Coyle. Nor will the club welcome any approaches for Coyle who remains under contract at Turf Moor."

That is the current situation. Whether Celtic will make an approach remains to be seen but as yet, according to our club, there has been no such approach.

Hopefully they will stay away and allow us to get on with celebrating reaching the Premier League.
