Burnley confirm Lafferty deal

The deal will be worth a guaranteed £3 million to the Clarets with a further £250,000 coming our way based on appearances. We've also had a 10% sell on clause inserted into the deal.

Also included in the package is Rangers midfielder Alan Gow and that takes the total to around £4 million for the Northern Ireland striker which smashes our transfer record.

Lafferty is with Rangers today and is meeting with their Chief Executive Martin Bain to discuss the deal.

Rangers are the club he's wanted to join all along and for much of the time it looked as though they weren't going to enter the bidding. It would be a big surprise now if Lafferty was to turn them down and it appears it is just a matter of when the transfer will be confirmed.
