Hull came within a whisker of getting a point against Arsenal on Saturday, but the club have confirmed this morning that remaining in the Premier League is paramount and as such have relieved he manager of all duties and placed him on gardening leave.

Assistant Brian Horton, a former Hull manager, takes temporary charge and he'll be assisted by former Mansfield, Rochdale and Barnsley boss Steve Parkin. Hull will immediately begin the search for a new manager to try and keep them in the Premier League.
