It isn’t the case though and after an initial show of interest last week it became clear on Saturday that Broomes could well be heading for Deepdale especially with Gregan set to move to West Brom.
This doesn’t mean that we won’t be signing Broomes but with Preston being in a much better state than Burnley are financially then it is expected that they will be able to offer him a better deal.
