The Clarets returned this morning for pre-season training but on this occasion Stan has not announced any new signings, not surprisingly given the financial problems over the summer. There is though speculation that a new face was down at Gawthorpe in the former Blackburn defender Marlon Broomes.
There has been no confirmation from the club in fact Blackpool Football Club claim Broomes is training with them and have photographed him at their Squires Gate training area. They say that Broomes and Simon Grayson are training with them just to get their fitness levels up.
So is Broomes training with Blackpool or the Clarets – or is he in fact training elsewhere. Our Turf Moor sources have told us that he was at Gawthorpe this morning but as yet this is still unconfirmed.
