Brisser talks whilst Stretch signs

Gordon Armstrong in action during his last Burnley appearance at Franchise
Stretch has now formally agreed a deal with Accrington Stanley that will see him line up next season alongside Paul Cook who accepted a deal with them a couple of weeks ago.

The two of them have been signed to proved the experience required at the higher level and the move will suit Armstrong who was looking for a part time role as he works alongside his wife in setting up their own photographic business in Norden.

It will be a further boost for Stanley to have another ex-Claret in the squad as they try to attract Burnley fans to the Crown Ground when we are playing away.

Meanwhile Lee Briscoe is in demand and after further talks Rotherham said they would try to come up with a suitable package to meet the players demands whilst admitting that two other clubs are interested in signing him.

Rotherham believe their trump card could be the fact that Brisser’s best mate Richie Barker is on the Millmoor staff alongside two former Burnley team mates in Alan Lee and John Mullin.

But it will be good news for Brisser who now looks assured of winning himself a contract for next season.
