A couple of days ago, Tudgay's agent and former Wednesday player Darryl Powell said he would speak to the player next week and the result of that means that a transfer request could be submitted with Tudgay wanting the opportunity to speak to Burnley.
He's just been on tour with his club to Malta and on their return Laws said: "There is no change in our position; whether a transfer request is made or not, it does not change one jot. The club will not be bullied.
"It's not just about money; with what we are aiming to achieve next season, we value highly the part that Marcus can play in that."
Laws, who has accused Burnley and Tudgay's agent of trying to unsettle the player, added: "I have a fantastic working relationship with the player - and that has been cemented. We shall never fall out about this. He an ultimate professional, like I am. There has never been any problem between me and Marcus and there never will be.
"He has been absolutely first class on tour. He's been doing everything that he should be doing, that's getting on with his football, and Sheffield Wednesday will act professionally and do things how they should be done."
It's unlikely anything will happen in the next week with the Clarets squad on the west coast of America but you do wonder just where Sheffield Wednesday can go with his one now. They are aiming swipes at a Premier League club at will and are sat there with a clearly unsettled player on their hands no matter what they say.
