Branch suspended

The ban relates to the incident against Derby at the Turf back in August after Branchy had been involved in the incident with Marc Edworthy that saw the Derby player requiring long treatment for a facial injury before being substituted.

The Derby fans were having a go, thinking presumably that it wasn’t the accident it clearly was, and Branch was accused of making gestures to the visiting fans. He was summoned to the FA and given until the 13th of this month to respond.

They have now suspended him for two games, tonight’s against Hull, which as we said he would not have been able to play in because of the injury, and Tuesday's against Millwall. His suspension is at an end before the game against Luton a week on Saturday.
