Branch charged by Football Association

That was the game when referee (and I use the word referee very loosely indeed) sent off Wayne Thomas for winning a header against the diving and cheating Grzegorz Rasiak.

Shortly after that Branchy was involved in an incident with Marc Edworthy when he accidentally, whilst trying to play the ball, kicked the Derby player in the face, an injury that held the game up for some considerable time.

He received some stick from the Derby fans and it appears he has now been charged by responding to that, the charge being that he gestured directly towards away supporters constituting abusive and/or indecent and/or insulting behaviour.

There’s been no comment from either club or player as yet but Branchy has until 13th October to respond to the charge.
