Branch and Moore in reserves

Ian Moore - plays for the reserves against his former club
Mooro was back in first team action on Saturday and with no reaction gets a chance of some match action whilst it is good to see Branchy back after illness forced him out of the Spurs game a week ago.

Both players will be playing against a former club, they both moved from Edgeley Park to the Turf.

With the two of them playing coach Mark Yates has opted for a watching brief tonight for the first time since taking over as reserve team coach.

We are still looking for a first win of the season, it would be particularly enjoyable to do it against this lot.

The Burnley team is: Michael Hale, Joel Pilkington, Neal Trotman, Chris McCann, Paul Scott, Marc Pugh, Joe Booth, Amadou Sanokho, Matt O’Neill, Ian Moore, Graham Branch. Subs: Mark Crossley, Martin Reilly, Nicky Platt, Alex Taylor, Kyle Lafferty.

Our opponents tonight travel to the Turf from the Land of the Unprofessionals and their reserve team is having a little bit more success than their struggling first team. In the Pontin’s League this season they are unbeaten in six games and are keen to extend that.

They have some experience in their side too starting with goalkeeper Neil Cutler who manager Sammy McIlroy (he of the pub team) signed in the summer from Stoke.

Midfielder Ricky Lambert, he cost £300,000 from neighbours Macclesfield, also plays as does Danny Jackman who was in the first team for much of last season.

They line up:

Cutler, Mair, Reilly, Allen, McAllister, Best, Campbell, Lambert, Bailey, Byrne, Jackman. Subs: Newby, McEwen, Wonfor, Pearson Douglas.
