Bradford want to extend Jones loan deal

After a difficult time at Huddersfield, Jones joined Bradford City on the last day of the emergency loan window, 27th November, but he's scheduled to return to Burnley tomorrow.

However, he's done well for them in six starts and manager McCall has asked about keeping him for the rest of the season. He said today: "I had a brief chat with Owen Coyle about Jonah and there are one or two clubs interested because he's put himself in the shop window.

"But he is enjoying himself here and wants to be involved in what we are trying to do here. Maybe we'll look to get him for another month with a view to taking it through to the end."

It is almost a year since Jones last appeared for the Clarets. He started the win against Plymouth in January and a week later came on as a late substitute at Coventry but picked up an injury.

His first team action since has all been out on loan with Crewe (last season) as well as Huddersfield and Bradford City. He's doesn't appear to figure in Owen Coyle's plans and is surely likely to move on in January either permanently or on loan.
