Bowditch signs in

Steve Cotterill has moved quickly to give his squad a lift and has brought in the young England Under-19 international in time to play against bottom club Rotherham on Saturday.

Bowditch can play either up front or in a wide position and he played against the Clarets earlier in the season in our 1-1 draw at Portman Road. He played the first fifty minutes before being replaced by Pablo Counago.

He’s hardly been out of the first team reckoning and came on as a sub himself at half time on Saturday when they went down to a 1-0 defeat at Wigan, coming on for Darren Bent.

Dean wanted to go out on loan because he wasn’t getting too many first team starts and wanted to gain more experience. He’s going to get that now, and at the same level as his own club Ipswich.

It is a move that won’t become a permanent deal and he will probably return to Ipswich at the end of the month. Until then he’ll be able to give our squad a great boost.
