East Lancashire's Burnley and Blackburn Rovers have both imposed total bans on fans of either club who wish to see their team in action on the away leg of their upcoming EPL Cup derby matches.

In a quite extraordinary decision, visiting fans will be denied the opportunity to attend either of Burnley's Premier League Cup Group matches against Blackburn Rovers.

It is not yet clear whether this ban has been instigated by Lancashire Constabulary.

Season ticket holders of the respective home club will be admitted to each game free of charge, upon production of their Season Ticket at the turnstiles on the day of the match.

When Blackburn visit Turf Moor, any Burnley supporter who has a purchase history on the Clarets' ticket database will also be allowed to purchase a ticket.

Fans probably deserve a whole lot better than this but alternatively a supporter may purchase a subscription on Clarets Player and watch the away game on a live feed from Ewood Park.

I recall vividly the halcyon days when football used to belong to the supporters. Sadly, those days are no more. (TEC).
