Since rejecting the new deal, Robbie has been linked with Blackpool and Preston whilst he's also believed to have spoken to Hearts about a move to Scotland.
Today, however, it is reported that Bolton are showing an interest in him, with the usually trusted Daily Mirror reporting that he's set to sign a one year deal with them.
Given that the current Bolton manager preferred to play him down the left and given that he's already signed Martin Petrov from Manchester City, it does initially seem an unlikely move and not one that will guarantee him the regular football he craves.
Time will tell where Robbie is come the start of next season with some suggestions that he could still sign the deal on offer at Burnley. Right now though, Bolton seems the likely destination.
