Blake deal agreed

This is exactly how it should be done and Steve Bruce will now be able to find out whether the player wants to play for them. It will happen without Paul Jewell or any of the Wigan players Robbie is supposedly so friendly with being involved.

The deal has all been agreed between Barry Kilby and the Birmingham Chairman David Gold and it should now be just a matter of time before our captain leaves the club.

No details of the deal have been revealed but it is thought that Robbie Blake was pulled out of this afternoon’s squad once the agreement had been reached.

A disappointed Steve Cotterill said, “The Chairmen have come to an agreement over Robbie. Robbie is going down there for talks on Tuesday and it looks as though he will be signing for them and has played his last game for us.

“I am very sad and disappointed to be losing such a good player, but you cannot begrudge him that chance.”
