Blake back in front

Robbie Blake
Robbie was a convincing winner in our man of the match poll, taking 38.7% of the vote and three points. Wade Elliott, creator of the second goal scored by Kyle Lafferty, was also in excellent form and he took 20.7% of the vote to finish in second place.

That gave Wade the two points whilst Alan Mahon, who has been a revelation in the midfield in the recent away wins came in third with 10.7% of the vote and took the final point.

On the message board player ratings such was the quality of the performance at Wolves that ever player scored higher than seven. Again Robbie was the winner with an average of 8.82 out of 10 giving him another three points.

An average of 8.50 would usually be more than enough to win the ratings but on this occasion both Elliott and David Unsworth had to settle for joint second place and took two points each.

Robbie's points haul has now lifted him back to the top of the Player of the Year table, going three points clear of previous leader Clarke Carlisle. Mahon and Unsworth remain in third place whilst Elliott moves up to eighth with his four points.

The current table is

40: Robbie Blake
37: Clarke Carlisle
