Bikey goes Greek

Bikey signed for the Clarets in August 2009 following our promotion to the Premier League. Signed as a central defender he was very quickly moved into a central midfield position, scoring against tonight's opponents Birmingham in his first game in that position.

He was with us for three years and played fairly regularly, injury and African Cup of Nations apart, during his first year and a half at Turf Moor, but things changed following the departure of manager Brian Laws.

Stuart Gray, in temporary charge, left him out of the side and he never gained the trust of Eddie Howe who eventually removed him from the squad and left him to play out the last part of his third year on loan at Bristol City.

Released in the summer of 2012 he trained with Middlesbrough, finally winning a one year deal with them. But he was released again at the end of last season and until this week has been without a club.

He's now joined Panetolikos who returned to the top league in Greece this summer having secured a place via a six game play off tournament.

The Amougou name is still not in use and Panetolikos, when announcing his signing, introduced him as Andre Biko.
