Big weekend for Kyle

Tonight Kyle is expected to line up for the Northern Ireland Under-19 team in the Elite Milk Cup Final when they take on the United States of America at the Coleraine Showgrounds.
Lafferty was in sparkling form against Serbia & Montenegro and scored the first goal in a 3-1 win but a slight knock kept him out of the match against Brazil which the Irish won 2-0. But he’s raring to go tonight and will be looking to show the same sort of form that he should last Monday in that first match.
For those of you with Sky the match is being shown live on BBC2 NI and can be viewed via channel 962.
That’s not all for Kyle, he’ll be flying back to England first thing tomorrow morning to take his place in the Burnley squad for the season’s opener at Crewe, the first time he’s been named in the squad for a competitive game.
Best of luck to Kyle tonight – he could just be following in the footsteps of a couple of former Burnley and Northern Ireland strikers, Willie Irvine and Billy Hamilton.
