Since returning from his cruciate injury Bes, who is currently on loan at Rosenborg BK, had made three substitute appearances but on Wednesday he was in their starting line up for a friendly against Azerbaijan.

The game was played at Baku in the Stadium Tofik Bakramov, named after the linesman who controversially allowed Geoff Hurst's second goal in the 1966 World Cup Final, and the home side went 1-0 up after four minutes with Albania equalising eight minutes later.

It ended 1-1 and Bes played 83 minutes before being replaced by Skela. It takes his number of caps to eleven since making his debut in October two years ago as a substitute against Holland in Amsterdam.
