Beast set for new deal

With news filtering through at the end of the 2007/08 season that Owen Coyle was to bring in a new goalkeeper it was thought Brian, out of contract, would be released. But that wasn't the case, he got a new two year deal with his fellow goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly being placed on the transfer list.

He was however second choice at the beginning of the season but for one game only and he's since played in every game and turned in a number of very important match winning performances.

Now, the national media are suggesting that there could be an extension to his current deal. He has one year left but it looks like his form over the last year could have won him another two years beyond that taking him to the 2011/12 season.

I don't think there can be a Burnley fan anywhere that would say he hasn't deserved it.
