Beast makes Team of the Week

The Beast pulled off a number of top saves although it was not just his goalkeeping that won the Clarets a point as some of the media would have you believe. We played well as a team and suffered ourselves from top class goalkeeping from Mart Poom as well as the Stadium of Light woodwork.

The Nationwide League said of Jensen: "This great Dane gave a Man of the Match performance in a game littered with chances, foiling Sunderland time and again to help his team snatch a valuable 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light.

"A free signing from West Brom in the summer, the 28 year-old has been an ever-present in both the League and Carling Cup for the Clarets this season – and they were grateful for his presence on Saturday."

The full team was selected from eleven different clubs this week and is:

Brian Jensen (Burnley), George Santos (Ipswich), Neil Cox (Watford), Chris Swailes (Rotherham), Youl Mawene (Derby), Jason Koumas (West Brom), Stuart McCall (Sheffield United), Youssef Safri (Coventry), Michael Carrick (West Ham), Mamady Sidibe (Gillingham), Paul McVeigh (Norwich).
