Battles at top and bottom

Last updated : 25 March 2010 By Tony Scholes

Portsmouth are just about gone, and rightly so despite the Premier League's best efforts to bend or break every rule to help them. Burnley and Hull look favourites to take the drop with them with West Ham now the only catchable club who sit three points above us.

At the top it is as close as it could be with only two points seperating the top three and Chelsea having one extra home game remaining.

It's been a topsy turvy week in the chase for fourth place with Liverpool, Manchester City both losing and Aston Villa dropping home points. Tottenham now look favourites.

The recent stats along with the leading goalscorers, each club's disciplinary record and the next fixtures are below.
