The 24-year-old Kilkenny started his career with Birmingham City but joined Leeds in January 2008 after enjoying two previous loan spells with Oldham Athletic.
Known as a good passer of the ball, he has gone on to play over 80 league games for Leeds and has become a player very much in demand.
He was born in London but brought up in Australia and that allowed him to play internationally for the Australians. He's played twice in 2006.
