Barlow in at Hull

The whole managerial situation at the KC Stadium is in the hands of the courts after Cochester were awarded a second injunction this morning to prevent their boss Phil Parkinson from moving to Humberside.

They are intent on getting their man and have appointed top QC to fight their case in court next week. A statement from Hull read: "We are now building our defence for the court injunction next Monday and have enlisted the help of top QC Andrew Clarke who will lead counsel in our defence of the injunction imposed on Mr Parkinson. In the meantime we hope to continue negotiations with Colchester United to try to find an amicable solution."

But until that is resolved they have handed over the reigns to Barlow, who has also previously managed Chesterfield and Scunthorpe. He will have full control of the first team until such time as the situation with Parkinson is resolved and at that time will assume the position of assistant manager.
