Baggie Robinson joins team

Last updated : 29 May 2008 By Tony Scholes
Over the last few days we gave you a list of sixteen players to choose from for the left back position in our 2007/08 team and the 29-year-old Robinson, who joined West Brom from Watford in the summer of 2003 comfortably came out on top.

He polled no less than 36.2% of the vote which was over three times that of second place and that was Michael Gray from their close rivals Wolves. Gray took 11.3% of the vote whilst third place went to Hull City's Andy Dawson with 7.9% of the vote.

Robinson has now been involved in two promotions with West Brom. He was in the side that went up in second place in his first season of 2003/04 and now has led them to the Championship and another crack at the Premier League. He played all but three of their games last season and those missed were due to suspension.

Our team now has a goalkeeper and two full backs, namely Adrian Basso (Bristol City), Bradley Orr (Bristol City) and Paul Robinson (West Brom) and now it is time to find two central defenders.

This is where the polls change slightly. Again there are sixteen options to choose your first central defender and that voting poll, which is online now, will continue until the end of Saturday. The winner will be placed in the side whilst a second poll will then be started with the other fifteen players to allow you to choose your second player for the centre of the defence.

The poll, as always, can be found on the right hand side of the front page.
