Back to normal at the top

The debate is going to continue over Mick McCarthy's decision to rest his first team players to keep them fresh for the game against us on Sunday. Now it is up to us to show him it was a bad decision.

We're just three points ahead of Wolves now and if they were to beat us by more than one goal they'd go above us. Given they are currently in the bottom three it shows how much closer we are getting.

The stats for the midweek games are shown below along with the leading goalscorers this season, the disciplinary records of each club and this weekend's fixtures.
