David Unsworth - could feature in the reserves
With players out of last night's first team game through injury and illness it is likely that it will be a much more inexperienced Burnley side than the one that beat Manchester City last week at the Regional Athletics Arena.

There is no team news as yet, but I would suspect it will be mainly apprentices although there could be appearances for David Unsworth and Ade Akinbiyi, both of who were on the bench last night, and Kyle Lafferty who is currently suspended from first team action.

Whoever plays for Burnley, they will come up against a similarly inexperienced Blackpool side who will have only three of their full time professionals playing - Matt Kay, Matt Lawlor and Phil Doughty. Again, like Burnley, their team is affected by injuries and their Carling Cup game last night.

Former Claret Steve Thompson, now reserve coach at Bloomfield Road, names the following side: Kyle Clancy, Ashton Bayliss, Scott Metcalfe, Matt Lawlor, Phil Doughty, Danny Penswick, A Trialist, Danny Mitcheley, Phil Marsh, Matt Kay, Dale Warburton. Subs: Jake Hobbs, Mark Halstead, Alex Smith, Ben Fishwick, Steve Ralston.
