Austria, Germany and home

The week brought with it draws against two German teams during a week long stay in Austria and a stunning following of Burnley fans at Freilassing yesterday to witness the team led out by a very famous name from Burnley’s past.

Burnley fans have been giving Salzburg a somewhat Claret & Blue flavour over the last few days, a City that doesn’t look altogether ready for an invasion of football fans, at a time when Mozart dominated during the annual Festspieler.

We’ll be catching up with it all, reporting from the two games both with their own unique brand of goal music and Mr. Safestyle, and we’ll also be looking at the last few days in an area that is more than well worth visiting. Surely I didn’t hear anyone mentioning the Isle of Man again.

It was somewhat disappointing to have to say Aufwiedersehen Salzburg, where we have been given a warm welcome, and return home but with the Sheffield United game now just six days away it was time to take off from Salzburg Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Airport and return home through the dense fog that hit us on the A1.

It will be quiet next week in that particular part of Austria where just for a few days the hills were alive with the sound of – Stevie Cotterill’s Claret & Blue Army.
