Austin move getting closer

At our end, the report says we've turned down an offer from Hull for Charlie that is understood to be not far from the £4 million mark with the Tigers confident of agreeing a fee imminently despite Burnley insisting there are other clubs interested in the striker.

Over in Hull, the report gives every indication that a deal is close with the two clubs set to strike that £4m deal following advanced talks this week after Hull's improved offer.

The Hull Daily Mail understand that the two clubs are now just £500,000 apart in their valuations and that sources at the club have become increasingly confident that an agreement can be reached in days.

I think there is no doubt at all that Austin, who was Eddie Howe's first Burnley signing in January 2011, has played his last game for the Clarets. Whether it be Hull or one of the other clubs recently mentioned, with Aston Villa always considered a likely bidder, we can expect him to move on this summer.
